Is it just me, or do you ever notice some of your night worries tend to fade away in the morning?
For me, the thoughts I encounter at night time are usually ransom, and are usually negative. They also usually escape my head by morning.
I call these thoughts intruders. These are the thoughts that come in without warning, take you where you don’t want to go, and leave you a few moments later to fix all the broken pieces.
So I woke up this morning, vaguely remembering the squabble I had with my boyfriend last night.
scratch that. I remember, but I vaguely remember why something so little he said/did bothered me so much last night?
Whatever it was, I pushed it aside and went to sleep. I woke up, kissed him a good day, and went off to work.
On my drive to work, I was happy I let it go. I was content to know I didn’t let my impatient negative thoughts get a hold of me and control the situation…as they always do.
So my message here is, if it’s a small little argument, or something “silly” that isn’t worth arguing over, just let it go. Trust me, you’ll feel better in the morning.
